REPLACEMENT / EXCHANGE POLICY At The Kargha Story, we ensure thorough quality checks for each of our products before they are shipped to our customers. Given the inherent nature of our products, we reserve the right and sole discretion to provide an exchange or replacement on any order on a case-to-case basis. When contemplating an exchange or replacement, please take some time to understand how our products are manufactured. All our products are handwoven by traditional and experienced weavers at their homes in towns and villages across the country. These products are handwoven one piece at a time resulting in any two pieces of the same product having a slight variation in weave, colour and structure. These are not to be considered defects, but rather as uniqueness of the product. It is commonly said - "beauty of handmade lies in their imperfections." Your purchase would be considered for exchange or replacement only in the following cases: If the product you have received has a genuine quality or visible manufacturing defect If the product delivered was incorrect, i.e. the product does not match the description as mentioned in the Order Confirmation at the time of placing the order If your purchase meets our exchange criteria as mentioned above, please email us at thekarghastory@gmail.com within 48 hours of delivery with the following details: Order number Specific reason for issuing an exchange request along with an image of the item that you have received Once the product defect has been evaluated and confirmed by us, you will be provided with a replacement or exchange within 10-14 working days after the product is picked up from the address provided at the time of placing your order. ​ If we are unable to provide you with a replacement against your ordered product, we shall notify you on the same within 48 hours of receiving your exchange or replacement request. In this case, you may either choose another product from our collection or we can provide you with a credit note equivalent to your order value with a validity of 90 days from the date of receipt of your exchange request. Delivery Policy SHIPPING & DELIVERY POLICY Standard delivery timeline is 2-3 weeks from receipt of order confirmation, although we strive to ship your order to you at the earliest possible. If the product ordered is in stock, the same shall be delivered to you within 7-10 working days from receipt of your order. All domestic orders (i.e. shipping within India) above INR 3,000 will be eligible for FREE SHIPPING. Orders below INR 3,000 will be levied flat shipping charges of INR 150 per order. For domestic orders, prices mentioned on our website are inclusive of all taxes and duties. We offer worldwide shipping. For international orders (i.e. shipping outside India), shipping charges will be levied to our customers on actuals as confirmed by our delivery partner depending on location/country of delivery. Brand Story Handloom weaving has been practiced in our country for centuries and is a highly skilled art which requires years of tutelage, practice and experience. The art of weaving has evolved over time and continues to remain relevant even today. ताना & बाना (or warp & weft) i.e. the yarns that run vertically and horizontally along the loom are interwoven in unique patterns of weaves by a skilled weaver to ultimately create a product that is inimitable, robust and assuring. ‘Kargha’ when literally translated means ‘handloom’, a complex instrument on which a cloth is hand woven by a skilled weaver. The handloom has in many ways woven the cultural heritage of our country through centuries. ‘The Kargha Story’ is an endeavor to bring to the forefront the tireless efforts of humble weavers and artisans and promote the country’s rich handloom heritage. Prior to this, she has spent close to a decade working for large Indian and global retail fashion brands. Sanyukta is an alumnus of National Institute of Fashion Technology, Bangalore.
